What to verify before automating legacy JDA or RedPrairie workflows.

The highest implementation risk is often production connectivity and governance—not the interface that summarizes an incident.

Integration checklist

Six constraints that decide whether a pilot is feasible.

Do not build around assumed MOCA capability or unrestricted direct database access.

01

Identify the specific deployment

Record WMS version, hosting model, customizations and current vendor/support obligations.

02

Find the approved integration surface

Confirm API, reviewed adapter, existing integration layer or supported read-only command route.

03

Specify permission boundaries

Separate read queries from operational commands and assign credentials to an accountable owner.

04

Select one incident type

Name inputs, supported cases, data sources, time budget and unresolved states.

05

Test failure conditions

Evaluate delays, missing records, stale data, duplicate work and unauthorized action attempts.

06

Measure the baseline

Confirm that the time or cost of the process justifies integration and support.

Operating boundary

A public community node, sample script or LinkedIn demonstration does not establish vendor support, production readiness or permission to access a customer environment.

Define the smallest useful fix

Test integration feasibility before promising automation.
